Initiates cancer care benevolent fund.

ISRT, The apex professional body of Indian Radiographers & Medical Imaging Technologists, Initiated a benevolent fund for helping the needy cancer patients from the public and for medical help among their members. This fund will also be initiated to help Government hospitals and charitable societies to develop their infrastructure towards cancer care. The fund was Inagurated by Sri. Shibu Baby Johan, Minister for Labour, Govt. of Kerala by handing over the cheque of 1st donation to Mr. Surendran Chunakkara, Public Relations Officer of Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Trivandrum, a leading cancer Research Institute of Kerala in a function conducted at his chamber on 15th September 2011.

The programme was also attended by Dr. Napapong Pongnapang, Regional Director of International Society of Radiographers & Radiological Technologists (ISRRT) for Asia/Australasia, Mr. Anayara Jayakumar, President of ISRT and Mr. Suresh Malayath, Gen: Secretary, ISRT and other Invited guests.
